Black Dismal Night

It was upon that misty dark cold night that shall for all time be Engraved and branded deep within my very soul and unrelenting memory My now black shattered heart frozen by the dark cold’s vicious bite Lay shattered in endless pieces upon that black dismal night
I bled picking up pieces by that haunting silver river All the while the dark bitter cold up my spine sent a violent torturing shiver I grieved in unbearable pain picking up every fractured piece that lay in my blurred sight And lamented over my sweet Susan on a cold black dismal night

Silver LullabyIn the empty black darkness in the cold dreary night I stand here alone as the piercing cold makes my very soul violently shiver In the endless black night lit only by the lone crystal beams of the water moon I piercingly stare down the black horizon on this cold haunted Silver River
As I blankly stare across this haunting river of memories of heartache and sorrow My ear hears something a something like a beautiful siren song
And at that moment like a mesmerized moth to an inviting dancing flame I follow the sonnet’s lovely call bringing an unfamiliar relief I have not felt for Silver Lullaby

Edward Short Story Version I sit within this dark gloomy Limbo, one that is saturated with a sickening aura of despair. I occasionally look around this dismal, hellish chamber, and see the lifeless corpses of those who have surcome to the very same illness as I. In the darkest depths of my mind I think of how we are not so different, how befitting that these skeletal prisoners lay here, only accompanied by the screams of heartache, and the horrific and yet somehow serene, specters of heartache and toil. They as well as myself, damned to this gruesome darkness by chains fashioned from our own wretched torment. T Edward Short Story Version

Hey every body, Phil here. Well, I got another poem up entitled, "Black Dismal Night", and I re-submitted the "Melancholy Love of Edward Malone". Since that poem I have developed my style into a darker more mature style, that I like to call, "Elegant Macabre & Romance", which is shown in, "Black Dismal Night". I will be re-writing the "Melancholy Love", in my newer developed style. So look out for the new poem, that will be entitled, "Edward". These poems, come from the fictional journal of, Edward Malone. And thus is why they both are about him. All poems I write, are "written by Edward", and thus come from "his" journal. So, look out for my new stuff and I'll be out with some illustrations for them soon too. So, look out for all that. Aight, later....

All in all I'd say three years of work; the most intense page production was in the final year.
